Go to ​Lions Lookout for a great view of the downtown area. Pioneer Village museum and ride the Portage flyer steam train.

There are many great restaurants, café's, bakery's to treat your taste buds  Only a few blocks walk away from the house. ​​My favorite is On the Dock Pub with 3 levels of dining and great views of Hunters Bay. The food, drinks and service are awesome and nothing is fried.  With live music on Friday and Saturday nights after 9 pm all year long. I can pull up and dock with my Pontoon boat and enjoy a meal with guests, friends and family

For upper scale restaurants Tall Trees has private tables and outside dining cabins with wood fire stoves for great private dining, atmosphere, and food for romance.  or 
The Allora for Italian and exotic pizzas. The Portuguese House for authentic cuisine.
For more casual dining The Main St Local, The Mill on Main, That Little Place by the Lights for Italian, Muskoka Brewery beer infused food and sampling on site made beer.  Seng Thai food,  Marigold and Govinda's for Indian/Thai,  
Family Place for breakfast, lunch and dinner with great pizza.

Go for a drive in the area and check out Crossroads in Rosseau for upper scale family owned and operated since 2008 nice atmosphere and great food.
